Matei Monoranu is an Award Winning Animation Director and Illustrator based in Bucharest, Romania.

He is a graduate of UAD in Cluj-Napoca and he also did an MA in Animation Directing at UNATC in Bucharest. 

His work is fun, geometrical, wonky and character driven, often with funny loops of characters like triangles, cats and cyclopes.

His graduation film “Despre ce naiba sa scriu?” has been picked in several festivals throughout the world such as: Taafi Film Festival, Lago Film Fest, Balkanima, Animest and more.
